Jungle and Canopy Tours
Jungle and canopy tours are some of the most popular travel adventures in Costa Rica. With so many adventure travel companies in Costa Rica, it’s easy to find canopy tours all over the country. These types of tours are a great way to explore the rainforests of Costa Rica with a guide, but still get down and dirty. Many jungle tours often include a multitude of activities such as off road drives, jungle treks, waterfall rappels, and rock climbing.

Whitewater Rafting
There are a number of great rivers to raft all over Costa Rica. For the more experienced adventure traveler, there is the Upper Revebtazon River. This is class V section of some serious white water. For the less experienced, there are many other well-liked runs. One of the more popular being the a 2-day trip on the Pacuare River. This river runs through a steep gorge and a variety of rain forest environments.
Canyoning
If you want to explore the mountains and jungles of Costa Rica, canyoning is a great way to do it. Not for the out of shape, canyoning is adventure travel at its finest. These types of Costa Rica travel adventures involve hiking along, through, and across river beds, creeks and mountain sides. Occasionally you’ll stop, but not to rest. Rappels down rock faces and waterfalls are common. As well are cliff diving and swimming through rapids.
